Nice job guys. After a whole lot of hardwork and dedication, our 10-man squad managed to topple the boss from this expansion, Arthas!

Once every so often, we like to take a night to go back to the good old days of WoW. Back when raids numbered 40 participants and trash was a huge bore.

Oops, we went a little too far back in time there!

Join the gang next Saturday, July 18 at the usual 7 PM PST time. We will be venturing into the depths of Blackwing Lair and AQ-40. Come, earn achievements and maybe even get yourself a bug mount! Levels 65+.

The guild bank funded repair feature has been in the game for quite a while, but we have never used it before. Obviously there are opportunities of exploit, and those need to be taken into consideration, but for the first time, on Friday the 10th, the second Friday of the month, the guild bank will shoulder your raiding repairs!

Okay, so not quite. Rather than use the guild bank repair functionality, a fixed 50 gold will be sent to all ontime raiders (prorated based upon normal point handout) on Friday, July 10th, for the 7 PM Ulduar-25 man raid! Show up, raid, and it costs you nothing*!

The obvious goals will be to promote a strong raiding night, perhaps some progression, and alas, a carefree raiding experience. Should these goals be met, perhaps a new tradition should be made! Perhaps...

Formally known as "Adopt-A-Newb" night, Alt night has evolved to a new level in Wrath of the Lich King. Very few true "n00bs" exist, and instead, every other Tuesday is Alt Night. As the name implies, on July 7th, it is time for everyone to play alts, all at the same time!

Get off that level 80 character! Roll that new alt that you've always wanted to play. Group up to destroy those dungeons you've never achieved. And if we can't encourage you to log off that main, instead help the rest of the guild level their alts. It isn't all about raiding!

Unfortunately, we were once again a bit short on healing. With only Painaway and Spiritpaine, dare we attempt to take on the hardest raid encounter thus far with only two healers? Oh, we dare, and we were successful, with an extra minute to spare!

On Sunday, February 8th, Z Guild completed all of the 10-man encounters currently available in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Next week, we prepare for the 25-man Naxxramas. Be there!

On Sunday, January 25, 2009, the Z Guild gang gathered for the bi-annual guild meeting. While typically these are held in Moonglade, due to the Lunar Festival, we ventured south to Maestra's Post, just north of Astranaar.

We had a pretty good turnout with some interesting dresses and costumes. Gate won all around coolness by sporting his tier 1 Paladin set. And yes, you may have fries with that. If you missed the meeting, Sprawl posted a short list of notes for you.

This upcoming Friday, January 16th, Z Guild will be gathering at 7 PM PST for its very first 25-man raid post-WotLK! For some, it is a long time coming, for others, it is all too soon. Join us as we face off against all the usual foes, heroic style.

We pretty much need everyone out that is level 80 to kill Archavon, assuming we have Wintergrasp, and Sartharion. If we can take them, then Naxx-25 is but a flight path away. Gear up and don't forget your flasks!

Naxxramas is here and raiding is imminent. Our first run into Naxxramas (10-man) is scheduled for December 7th at 3 PM.

Don't worry if you aren't ready, or you just hit 80. At some point we need to go inside and see what we are facing. This run is worth DKP at the usual rate. We will be taking the best geared and most experienced players, but standby will apply.

The expansion is just a few short days away, and with it comes a new set of dungeons for us to explore. At our usual Friday and Saturday 7:00 PM raid time, we will be visiting Utgarde Keep and the Nexus!

These are the first two 5-man dungeons that players will visit in the Wrath of the Lich King. We will divide up in as many 5-man groups as possible and conquer these relatively simple dungeons for some new phat loots.

Brewfest runs into October 4th so you have all week to try for the exclusive Brewfest Kodo mount shown below. Up until now, we have had two drop for Z Guild. Vione and Kaaldin are the first two lucky winners.

We will continue to gather around 6 PM daily to get everyone their epic trinkets and to take shots for the Kodo mount. Ideally we need at least a tank, healer and two dpsers, but the more the merrier!

On Friday, August 15th, we were short the required raiders to visit our typical 25-man instances, so we decided to visit a classic... Molten Core!

For the second time since the release of the expansion, we one-shotted every boss in Ragnaro's domain. It was pretty close though, we wiped on a 10 pull of Corehounds and almost lost against Baron Geddon. We managed though, being overpowered and such.

On Sunday, August 17, at noon, we spammed the heck out of guild chat and played an hour of trivia. We tried a pool of general questions, but they were too wack, so we defaulted back to our typically selection of WoW-based trivia questions.

Our former reigning champion, Telaria, aka Ithximir, was defeated by the returning warlock Dandrent by a single point! Over 910 gold in prize money was awarded to participates.
