How to connect to Ventrilo

If you don't know how to use teamspeak go to http://www.ventrilo.com/ to download a copy of the program. You don't need a microphone to listen in. There, you will want to go to the downloads section, download the Client and install it.

Once installed:

  1. Click the first of three "->" buttons next to the 'User Name' field.
  2. Click "New".
  3. Enter your name in the "Setup New User" popup box and click "OK".
  4. Enter your name in the "Phonetic" field. Leave the other two fields blank.
  5. Click "OK".

  6. To automate the rest of the setup. Close Ventrilo then click here. If this does not work, reopen Ventrilo and continue on with step 7.
  7. Click the second of three "->" buttons next to the 'Server' field.
  8. Click "New".
  9. Enter "Z Guild" in the "Setup New Server" popup box and click "OK".
  10. Now enter the "Hostname or IP" and "Port number" as shown in Figure 2.

  11. Acquire the password by contacting an officer.
Have fun and enjoy! Please don't abuse this, we don't mind inviting a friend from a friendly guild to come chat or whatever, as long as they stay our of there while we are raiding etc. People who do not follow this simple rule will be given the evil eye!
